Welcome to Community Works of Connecticut
A coalition of grassroots non-profit organizations from
across Connecticut, Community Works is Connecticut’s
only statewide federation dedicated to achieving social
change and economic justice.
Established in 1991 by a handful of community-based organizations,
Community Works of Connecticut has become a statewide
coalition of more than 30 advocacy, direct-service and
educational non-profit organizations.
We provide people with the tools and information to take
control of and change their lives. Our member agencies
help real people work to end discrimination, poverty,
hunger, illiteracy, and lack of affordable housing and
access to healthcare.
Community Works provides its member agencies with another
source of income through participation in payroll deduction
programs with employers across the state. When you choose
to give to Community Works of Connecticut, your investment
encourages people to learn, to grow, and to resolve problems
in their communities. We represent dedicated non-profits
working hard to deliver quality services to the citizens
of Connecticut.
